Goodburger – This Vegan Food Truck’s Burgers are Here to Stay

Finally, a vegan food review!

Vegan food has without a doubt risen in popularity over the years, but food trucks remain a rare sight.

So when I saw one parked outside Coronation’s Starbucks… you already know what happened next.

Our party of four munched on The Classic (burger), One Night in Bangkok (burger), Mozzarella Sticks and Golden Nuggets.

And of course, everything here is meat-free!

I have a golden rule when it comes to trying new places: Taste their classic or best-selling item.

So we did just that and kicked off with The Classic ($16++).

Though thin, the taste and texture of the impossible patty somewhat resembled minced meat and was especially tasty with the cheddar and chopped pickles.

However, you might notice the disproportion in the bread-to-meat ratio and the absence of lettuce or tomatoes, which would have completed my cheeseburger fantasy.

Next, we decided to travel to beloved Thailand, as most Singaporeans do.

While One Night in Bangkok ($20++) cannot compete with the real price of a night’s stay in Bangkok, it certainly was pricey.

Like The Classic, the buns were soft and the impossible patty, tasty.

But again I longed for a burlier burger.

I tasted a bit of Thailand with the spice and tang of the mustard, though it was rather mild.

Perhaps sweet Thai chilli sauce, basil or tom yum would have been more reminiscent of Thailand.

Mozzarella Sticks ($8++) were up next!

Crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy on the inside. Yum!

Just be sure to eat it while it’s hot as the cheese hardens pretty quickly.

So far, all was going alright, but these Golden Nuggets ($8++) just made our afternoon 10 times better!

Don’t get me started on how much these tasted like actual chicken nuggets. It was mind-blowing!

That aside, I also loved how it wasn’t at all oily.

If you’re dropping by, please do yourself a favour and try these Golden Nuggets.

The Goodburger’s been around since the start of 2020 and continues to thrive.

I am definitely not the biggest fan of the price, though I’m glad it came with a side of fries.

While they’ve named themselves the Goodburger, it seems to me that their sides outshined the burgers.

If I’m coming back, it’ll definitely be for the nuggets and mozzarella sticks!
